Commercial Energy – Savings
Most high end commercial users will have hired consultants to audit energy usage and see where savings can be made. One of the keys to commercial savings is constant review of ever changing technology and costs. Just because a technology is cost prohibitive or unsuitable for your application doesn’t mean it’ll always remain that way.
A fantastic example of this would be LED lighting. If you go back twenty years they mostly produced terrible colour or were very expensive, now it wouldn’t occur to anyone to install anything else other than for very specialist applications.
Similarly, solar PV was seen by many to be expensive, and generally only installed by higher electricity users. Now it’s the cheapest form of electricity generation available, not only that, but comparatively speaking, it’s the cheapest way electricity has ever been produced.
